Summer bbq @ abg Shahril + kak Anis's house 2011

[1] the same weekend that we went for Mimah's BBQ (Saturday), Kak Anis (my labmate and lunch kakis for ~2.5 years) invited us to their BBQ event on Sunday. It was like a food festival weekend!




[2] since the boys PC was at the living area, the boys prefer to hang out here. a.jamal/k.odah/wazif posing at the bright red leather sofa that i can't help but admire. am considering similar sofa for our home later? ;)




[3] As per usual here, since everything needs to be prepared yourself, the BBQ was based on potluck concept. This was main menu table placed outdoors: bbq chicken/lamb/octopus, nasi hujan panas, potato salad kak wan, black pepper gravy super-pedas hyda, sambal super-pedas & fresh fruits. poor hubbykun was crying and sweating while enjoying his meal ;)




[4] kak anis rearrange the house's furniture so that it was more spacious and open the sliding doors wide so we can access the food outdoors easier!




[5] Meanwhile, the desert table was placed indoors (closer to the ladies? :P). the assortments of desert are: bingka cheese by khairi + uniq, kuih bakar made by phin, we baked the slightly overcooked brownies and mimah made the red velvet cake.. all were super yummy!!




[6] all the pretty ladies ;) i don't own any max dress, but after seeing how great unic & farah looked in them, am considering if I should get myself some too? :P




[7] the host, abg shahril manning their brand new BBQ set... perhaps planning more BBQ event in Malaysia? ;)




[8] yaya eanjoying his ice cream and cuddling with his dearest daddy..




[9] abg jamal came a little late because wazif wasn't feeling well that day due to fever. poor baby :(




[10] besides gossiping, we did spend some quality time to help Kak Wan and Farah brainstorm and plan the activities for the upcoming MCB event




[11] abg nazemi trying our brownie :P i'm glad that even though the brownies were a little overcooked, everyone seemed to liked it (well at least that was what they told anyways..hehe). probably because of the abundance of nuts we threw in. hehe




[12] thuraya really adored hawa and keep on wanting to hug her, so cute! that left me only a little room to steal hawa's affections.. huhi




[13] khairi serious in thoughts.. perhaps thinking of his cool brand new car? hehe




[14] i'm not sure what was going on, but farah seemed to be in ultraman's defense-pose against kak anis's attack :P but why did I look like I was enjoying their bickering a little too much?




[15] hubbykun (our photographer/director) favourite pose i.e. superheroes pose. whenever this pose is taken, it never ceased to look super cheerful!




[16] finally, after spending hours of eating those sinful food, it was time to head back (and plan some diet regime!). hawa and yaya was having so much time that they were pouting when we said that its time to go. thanks so much to Kak Anis + Abg Shahril + family  for hosting this wonderful event, and thanks all for the great company.
