[1] We got an invite from Zamir for a Yassin recital at his home in celebration to the Maulidur Rasul of 1434H.

[2] Coincidentally I was also fasting that day, so I break my fast at home first around 4.30pm (the blessed thing about fasting in winter hehehe).

[3] Hubbykun got back from office at around 6.30pm, just nice for the event that started at 7pm. We headed there right after performing Isyak prayer.

[4] This was our first time visiting Zamir new home. His place is simple enough to find though because it is very near to the UoB student union building.

[5] Still, we did called Zamir to get a bit of help with directions as there was some confusion at which road the house was facing.

[6] The Yaasin recital start right after everyone has settled down. This was just a small event due to space limitations (typical with houses in the city centre like ours). Despite that, the living room managed to fit around 15 people I think.

[7] Imran lead the Yaasin recital and reading of doa right after that.

[8] After that, it was followed but Selawat to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. Maulidur Rasul signifies the birth date of our Prophet in the Islamic calendar.

[9] Then, it was time to enjoy some food prepared mostly by Zamir but also some potluck menu brought by the attendees. Fieza made divine Malaysian fried noodle that matched with the authentic fish crackers from Terengganu by Nora, and we brought caramel pudding. There was also potato fritters, vege samosa, steamed broccoli and carrots to be served with mushroom soup, fries and grilled chicken, as well as some fruits.

[10] While enjoying the food, we took the opportunity to enjoy Zamir’s new flat screen TV. The TV has 3D capability with complementary 3D glasses, so cool! We watched a few shows of ’Jejak Rasul’ and some video shots of Aurora and NASA space shuttle. It was so much fun catching up with everyone that by the time we left, it was 11pm. Thanks to Zamir for the kind invite and to all friends for the great company.
